- Remove flowers from packaging as soon as possible and re-cut stems at an angle removing an inch with a sharp knife or florist scissors.
- To discourage bacteria growth, remove all leaves that would be below the waterline and meticulously clean your vase or jug with a diluted bleach solution.
- Fill the vase three quarters of the way up with lukewarm water and add one of the flower tablets provided. Add the flowers with re-cut stems and lower leaves removed.
- Avoid putting your display near direct heat or sunlight. Try to keep them in a cool place.
- Changing the water and re-cutting the stems every 3 days will make your flowers last longer. Dying flowers should be removed from the vase to stop the premature aging of the remaining blooms.
- If your flowers arrive by post and appear wilted, this may be due to the fact they have been without water. Place them in water as soon as possible and the stems and buds should firm up as they re-hydrate.
- Don't put flowers near ripening fruit - it releases tiny amounts of ethylene gas which prematurely ages flowers.
